Top 10 Books I'm Looking Forward To In 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful ladies at The Broke and the Bookish, but not for much longer!  In 2018, this weekly list-making extravaganza will be hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.   Top Ten Tuesday has been a favourite of mine since I first started blogging and, although I don't participate that often anymore, it's one of my favourite bookish things.

I've been reflecting a lot on the past year of reading while filling out Jaime @ The Perpetual Page Turner's End of Year Bookish Survey (watch for it this week -- I hope!)  As much as I love looking back at what I've read and loved, I also love looking forward to the shiny new releases -- who doesn't love that new book smell?

1. Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi (March 6)
I have a love-hate relationship with this series -- I love Tahereh's writing, but the series itself isn't my favourite ... BUT this releases on my birthday, and those COVERS *heart eyes emojis*

2. The Room on Rue Amelie by Kristin Harmel (March 27)
I read, and LOVED, The Life Intended this year, and I cannot wait to try some more of her books.

3. Every Note Played by Lisa Genova (April 3)
Lisa has been a favourite author of mine for a while, but I fell back in love with her books this year when I gobbled up Inside the O'Briens.  This book sounds PHENOMENAL.

4. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas (May 1)
This book is going to be on a lot of books this week, because DUH.

5. 9 Days and 9 Nights by Katie Cotugno (May 1)
I think I need to reread 99 Days before I dive into this one, and I'm super glad that my secret sister sent me a copy so that I can do just that.

6. On the Come Up by Angie Thomas (May 1)
This is another book that will likely be on a number of lists this week.  I loved THUG, and I'm eager to see if Angie can writer another incredible novel.

7. Save The Date by Morgan Matson (June 5)
MORE MORGAN MATSON.  *grabby hands*

8. All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover (July 17)
While I wasn't completely enthralled by Without Merit, CoHo is still an author whose books I'll always read.

9. Vengeful by Victoria Schwab (September 25)
I have yet to read Vicious, but it's at the top of my to-read list for 2018.  I'm even more excited to know that I have more Victoria writing to look forward to after I finish Vicious.

10. Queen of Air and Darkness by Colleen Hoover (December 4)
I STILL HAVEN'T RECOVERED FROM THE END OF LORD OF SHADOWS.  The publication date for this book better not get pushed back, because I'm not sure if my fragile heart can handle a longer wait.

And of course, there's also the next (last?) Throne of Glass book, mainly because I'm eager to finish that series.  I read (and loved) Warcross this month, so I'm already anticipating the next one even though there's no release date just yet.  And finally, even though I haven't yet read Strange the Dreamer, I'm hopeful that The Muse of Nightmares will come out this year, just so that I can indulge in both books.
